Bapticostal?

Friendship Baptist Church has changed its name to NEW HOPE CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP.  Our church goverment and view on eternal security are baptist type however our views of the ministry of the Holy Spirit make us charismatic.  We donot desire to argue these matters and separate christian fellowship, but to suport other believers and help build the Kingdom of God.  When people read the name of your church it should speak to them concerning the purpose of your church and give them an idea of what they can expect there.  We feel that the new name fits more with the purpose that God placed us in Ponca City for.  We have always been a church that believes that true hope for broken shattered lives is found only in a relationship with Jesus Christ.  We also believe in loving and caring for each other and that the gifts of the Holy Spirit and power of God has not nor has ever been removed after the death of the apostles.  In other words God's gifts and power are still valid to christians today.     

Bible nuggets to meditate on

And let us consider one anouther in order to stir up love and good works.not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one anouther, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.  (Heb. 10:24-25).
