God put it on my heart that if the men of the church had a fellowship to bring them closer together we would minister to each other better. Then someone said lets go camping. At that time I had a travel trailer and we had a men’s camp out at Sarge Creek. The men had a wonderful weekend of fellowship, GOD’S word and good food. So, the church decided that we should do it every year and we have been. The men’s breakfast got started because getting together once a year did not seem like enough. So once a month we come together and have breakfast and get to know each other better and are able to open up and talk about the things on our heart. We have different speakers now and then. It forms a bond between us and we are able to help each other better. I really enjoy being a part of the Men’s Ministry. Last year at the men’s camp out we had some real good speakers, good music, good fellowship and a lot of food to eat. We had Sunday morning services at the camp ground with the families. We enjoyed a very successful week-end together. My goals for the coming year are to have the men’s ministry to grow in numbers and fellowship with each other and to form a closer walk with GOD among the men of our church. Maybe the way to accomplish this goal is to invite different speakers, get suggestions from the men in our group and invite more men. New Hope Christian Fellowship Annual Men's Camp Out Sometimes it’s good to just get away for a day or so. We want to invite all men to join us for a great time of spiritual refreshing and plain old good fellowship.The camp out starts Friday, May 30th, 2008 at 4pm and ends Sunday June 1st 2008 at 4pm. On Sunday we will be joined at the campground by the families for 10a.m. services with dinner afterwards. All are welcome! We will be camping at Camp McFadden located east of Ponca City and across from the Sun N Fun waterslide park. It is a very nice camp with cabins and a large fellowship hall with a full kitchen. There are showers and restrooms at the camp as well. Please make reservations to attend. The cost is $30.00 for the whole camp out. This goes to pay for the camp. All you will need to bring is a sleeping bag or bedding and your hygiene products (shampoo, soap, deodorant, towel, etc). The food must be purchased and camp paid off as well as making sure we have enough cabins secured. It’s important that we begin to get your reservations and money in so that we will know how many to plan for.
